As part of our continued growth in Ivory Coast, we are looking for an HSES Security Technician to join our team in Abidjan.
Your Mission
Job Description
- Support and maintain HSESQ management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
- Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Monitor and promote HSESQ compliance across worksites and subcontractor facilities.
- Deliver HSESQ inductions, awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
- Collect, analyze, and report HSESQ performance data.
- Support quality inspections and ensure documentation accuracy and traceability.
- Assist with quality notifications, non-conformance tracking, and corrective actions.
- Promote security awareness, access control, and protection of company assets and data.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders on HSESQ matters.
You are meant for this job if:
Education
- Degree in Quality, Health, Safety & Environment, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of ISO management systems and HSE standards.
- NEBOSH certification or equivalent HSE qualification preferred.
- ISO 9001 certification and/or NDT qualifications would be an advantage.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an HSE, HSESQ, or Quality role within the Oil & Gas industry or a similar industrial environment.
- Experience conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and operational risk management.
- Experience working with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of HSESQ practices, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to conduct incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and in challenging operational environments.
- Proficiency with HSE management and reporting systems.
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and preventive approach to safety and quality.
- Fluent written and spoken in French and English.
