Job Purpose

The Storesperson will be responsible for all warehouse and forklift acvtivities and overseeing all deliveries/collection within the service base.

Job Description

To carry out the day to day operations of the Shared Services Logistics function, ensuring equipment required for the Projects and Workshop are processed according to current Company procedures. Ensuring all orders are efficiently receipted, stored and delivered correctly for onward shipment to meet requested schedules as required by stakeholders.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Ensuring the Warehouse and Yard areas are maintained in a good tidy manner with good housekeeping rules to allow an efficient process flow for all functions.
  • Ensuring Logistics procedures and processes are followed in the relevant discipline as assigned in Goods-In, Shipping , Warehouse and Yard areas.
  • All materials and packages received must be opened and each item physically checked for; Quantity, Visible Damage and relevant Certification Supplied as requested.
  • Ensuring all work is performed safely and in accordance with current procedures and work instructions and that the principles of the 5S project are promoted and maintained. ·
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles using Company fork lift trucks.
  • Ensure all equipment being loaded into transport units (Containers, Half Heights, etc.) are correctly packed and secured as required in accordance with transport requirements and regulations
  • Carry out general tasks as requested and assigned by Project Coordinators or Workshop Supervisor
  • Report to Project co-ordinators any issues which are likely to affect the smooth running of the department.
  • Liaise with Project Teams and 3rd Parties to ensure successful completion of Logistics function and processes.
  • Identify any training requirements which may be of benefit personally or to the department and ensure that training requirements are met.
  • Collaboration with the department and other stakeholders.

 

You are meant for this job if:

Previous experience in Warehouse and Logistics operations preferable

SAP experience required

B1-3 counterbalance forklift (16t)

Pivot Steer Bendi forklift

Good organisational skills with a capacity to work on own initiative as well as part of a busy team
