Job Purpose

The role of a Workshop Planner is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of workshop activities. Working closely with the Workshop Supervisor, the Workshop Planner meticulously plans and coordinates tasks to ensure all projects are completed on time and meet expected quality standards. This collaborative effort is essential for maintaining efficiency and achieving the workshop’s objectives, ultimately contributing to the organization’s success. You are responsible for communicating progress updates and equipment status to the Service Project team throughout the entire project life cycle. This role is based at the Altens facility in Aberdeen.

Job Description

  • Ensure compliance with TechnipFMC policies and HSEQ standards in all tasks.
  • Utilize ERP systems to prioritize and schedule project equipment tasks, aligning with project deadlines and Workshop Supervisor directives.
  • Assess and manage workshop capacity, taking into account the Service Project team's input.
  • Conduct regular planning and prioritization meetings with Workshop and Project teams.
  • Communicate workshop plan progress to the Workshop Supervisor, Workshop Manager, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and report potential risks to the Workshop Manager and Service Project Team.
  • Actively contribute to achieving Workshop objectives.
  • Uphold and champion TechnipFMC’s core values in all activities.
  • Offer essential feedback for the enhancement and ongoing refinement of departmental processes and procedures, ensuring alignment with the GBPMS.

You are meant for this job if:

  • High Level of Secondary School education and/or relevant experience within an Oil and Gas Service company
  • Several years technical experience or background of equipment planning within Oil and Gas (preferably Surface Wellhead) 
  • Familiar with Microsoft PC programs (Word, Excel, Power point, MS project, Teams etc
  • Good experience with SAP
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment is critical
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings / schematics
