Job Purpose

Provide tax advices in relation with tenders and projects in the EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa) region.

Identify tax planning opportunities in the UK and implement them in collaboration with the global tax planning team.

Advise Operations and Finance teams in the UK on tax matters (apart from tax audits, tax compliance, tax accounting and reporting)

Key focal point on tax matters relating to vessels (with the support of the various regional tax leads)

Leading UK tax planning

Provision of tax advices about commercial opportunities in the EMEA region (direct and indirect taxes) and contracts review

Key focal point on tax matters relating to vessels

Collaboration with the tax Global tax planning team to ensure a correct implementation of the advices provided by the Tax Manager – EMEA planning.  

You are meant for this job if:

  • Significant experience in delivering tax support for tendering activities (including contract review)
  • Good working knowledge of UK taxation
  • International tax and tax planning experience
  • Experience of vessels and shipping industry
  • Experience in interacting with external advisors in a cost-efficient manner
  • Ability to explain complex planning structures to non-tax personnel
  • International and UK experience mandatory
