Job Purpose

We are looking for a number of Service Project Manager's to join our team in Altens.  As Service Project Manager you will be responsible for managing all service and aftermarket activities both onshore and offshore for a given project or multiple projects, with a goal to deliver a quality service on time and to achieve customer success.

Job Scope

On a daily basis you shall be responsible for managing a dedicated service project team (including Service Project Planner, FST Supervisors, Operators (When allocated to your projects), and other supporting functions to achieve project objectives.

 

As Service Project Manager you shall be the primary point of contact to the customer for all service and aftermarket activities. You shall be responsible for managing the commercial terms, schedule, operations, logistics, risk, financial performance and delivery with a goal to achieve customer success.

General Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that all assigned work tasks are performed in accordance with TechnipFMC policies and HSEQ requirements.
  • Report project performance to Service Manager on a monthly basis and inform him/her in event that business critical decisions must be made.
  • You shall be the contractual point of contact to the customer responsible for all Service and Aftermarket activities.
  • You shall fulfil the role of project leader managing a dedicated service project team on a daily basis.
  • Lead by example, actively promote, and contribute to a positive working environment with your colleagues within your service project team and towards your colleagues within other departments.
  • Responsible for managing the commercial terms (contract), schedule (forecast and FST planning), offshore operations, onshore storage, risk, financial performance and all project deliverables.
  • Responsible for cost control within your project(s) and maintaining a forecast for project revenue which must be updated on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for ensuring risk management is implemented within your project, record, monitor and manage all risks via TechnipFMC Risk Management tool. 
  • Responsible for ensuring all project meetings are scheduled and executed as required. For example: project kick-off meetings, pre-job meetings, section close out meetings, risk management meetings etc.)
  • Responsibility for inventory control offshore, including stock count and/or inventory checks.
  • Responsible for active contribution towards the Service and Aftermarket department objectives.
  • Actively promote and work in accordance with TechnipFMC’s core values.

Main Tasks

  • Achieve a full and detailed understanding of your assigned customer contract.
  • Attend internal and external customer meetings on location, prepare and give presentations regarding project performance as required.
  • Ensure a project kick-off meeting is conducted with all service project team and supporting functions for every project to review scope of work, set clear expectations, and project milestones.
  • Ensure all team members fully understand their role and responsibility within the service project team.
  • Provide guidance, direction and support to your service project team on a daily basis as required both onshore and offshore.
  • Provide a long term (12 month) FST forecast demand to the FST department and update on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure that all operational documents and templates utilised for execution of project objectives are in accordance with the BPMS or revision controlled LWI’s.
  • Ensure weekly service project meetings are scheduled to review checklists for upcoming operations.
  • Coordinate all EFNCR’s, SN’s and QN’s related to your project as required.
  • Ensure that pre-job meetings with FST Supervisors are conducted and documented ahead of starting a new project and during every crew change
  • Ensure that all spare parts and consumable used offshore are recorded and billed accordingly.
  • Approve PR’s required for service project execution in line with DoA.
  • Ensure that section close out meetings are conducted and documented after every section.
  • Notify hardware PM regarding installed equipment for invoicing purposes after each section close out meeting were applicable
  • Monitoring financial performance on a monthly basis: revenue vs. budget, cost of sales and GM; together with Finance.
  • Responsible for on time invoicing for all project deliverables.
  • Provide customer reports, maintain and monitor customer KPI’s in line with contractual obligations.
  • Identify and seek opportunities to generate additional services.
  • Providing variation orders and/or quotation to customers for additional services as required.
  • Provide key input to help develop and continuously improve local department processes and procedures in line with the GBPMS.

Required Knowledge/Formal Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent Technical qualification is preferred. (Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education).

Ideal Background

  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry in an applicable job role (Service Technician, Field Engineer, WH and XT Engineer/System. Engineer/Project Engineer) working with Surface equipment.
  • Commercial Background is preferred.

Required Job Knowledge

 

  • Knowledge of Surface Wellhead equipment, tooling and accessories.
  • Good knowledge of industry codes, specifically API, ISO and NORSOK.
  • Experience of SAP.
  • Good knowledge of refurbishment and recertification processes (QCP’s, ITP’s etc.).
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools ( Preferably 5S).
  • Good Knowledge and understanding of Risk Management.
  • Financial and commercial awareness is essential.
  • Expert knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Visio, etc.).
