Job Purpose

Workshop based technician with the following key outputs:

  • Assembly and maintenance of all aspects of ROV tooling systems to current procedures and work instructions or as directed by OneROV Workshop Superintendent
  • Preparing and testing equipment to project requirements and specifications 
  • Supervising workshop technicians and ROV offshore crews when working onshore 

Job Description

  • Workshop repair and maintenance
  • Carry out work of equipment in accordance with planned maintenance instructions
  • Record all extra service/repair work conducted for logging in the maintenance records
  • Complete maintenance records in the computer based maintenance system
  • Supervise offshore technicians while in the workshop
  • Preparation of ROV and project tooling prior to mobilisation
  • Service, repair and maintenance of ROV and project tooling after demobilisation
  • Refits and equipment refurbishment after long term operational use
  • Assist with maintaining the tooling inventory to keep stock in operational condition for rapid mobilisation
  • Provide operational support for ROV and tooling systems
  • Promote and demonstrate the cleanliness and safety of work areas by means of good housekeeping
  • Promote and demonstrate a high standard of health and safety at all times 

You are meant for this job if:

  • Recognised trade qualification, HNC or equivalent
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Recognised trade qualification, HNC or equivalent
  • Offshore survival and medical certificates
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment
  • Experience of ROV tooling systems
  • Experience of Schilling manipulators
  • Experience of fibre optic systems
  • Experience of IT hardware and software
  • Experience of computer control systems
  • Good knowledge of the current health and safety regulations
  • Global mobility
