Job Purpose

In this position, the Lead/Senior Engineer can be involved in all phases of a field development, from the early onset in studies, pre-FEED and FEED but also with contribution through the later phase in execution as well as maintaining a link with the life of field service.

Job Description

Responsible for Controls sub-system engineering within the pre-FEED, FEED and tender phases and establishing associated technical documentation in accordance with TFMC engineering practice and Company values.

Responsible for understanding requirements of the controls sub-system and wider subsea/topside system implications. These shall be clearly communicated to the project engineering manager, system integration engineer and the relevant Controls engineering groups.

Responsible for and take ownership of the controls and distribution system level design in the pre-award phase but also influencing our standard product solution for distribution.

Accountable for client relations through meetings, presentations, interfaces etc.

Responsible for technical management of Controls scope of work, defined by TFMC procedures, contract, schedules and budgets.

Responsible to identify and coordinate input to potential variation orders for additional work outside scope or contract requirements, and propose PVO

Responsible for identifying and analysing risks associated with engineering tasks. Is expected to be proactively involved in the technical assurance review process.

Accountable for delivering Controls sub-system engineering package according to COMPANY requirements.

Responsible for approving design basis and coordinating design activities within discipline

Responsible to define and maintain Controls internal and external interfaces.

Accountable for developping relation with 3rd party OEM controls providers, whose technology may be imposed by COMPANY ‘s brownfield wider dynamics or be the topside incumbent . It will be necessary to be conversant and up to date with all solutions.

Responsible for contributing to the group’s control and automation technology roadmap by expressing technology gaps/needs/opportunities (from project or voice of customer feedback) and associated business case to the product management organisation.

Responsible for contribution to potential acceptance / roll out of new technologies by the customer base.

You are meant for this job if:

BS in Engineering or equivalent

Vast amount of relevant experience in the domain of system engineering and controls engineering

Preferred exposure to a wide range of field & controls architectures, as well as control system technologies from a range of companies.

Preferred exposure to system and controls system engineering in brownfield environment

Familiarity with risk review & identification exercises
