Job Purpose

We are looking for a Project Quality Coorindator to join our Surface team in Altens, Aberdeen.  The Project Quality Coordinator will report into the Surface UK QHSES Manager and is responsible for assuring quality compliance and driving continuous improvement across service, maintenance, refurbishment, storage, and onshore/offshore support activities.

 

The role is heavily focused on Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and operational compliance, ensuring service delivery meets TechnipFMC standards, client requirements, and applicable industry regulations, while providing proportionate

HSE support as part of the integrated QHSE framework.

Job Description

Main tasks for the Projects Quality Coordinator include, but is not limited to, the following:

 

Project Quality Coordination

  • Support project delivery teams by maintaining compliance with quality and technical requirements.
  • Prepare Quality and Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Facilitate 3rd party inspections and customer audits.
  • Coordinate with Service project managers, planners, workshop and inspectors to ensure quality requirements are understood and met.
  • Ensure timely and quality-focused delivery of equipment and supporting quality documentation in accordance with project schedules, refurbishment scopes, and quality and inspection and test plans.
  • Identify and escalate non-conformances, lead root cause analysis and manage corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor Engineering Notification Changes (ECNs) to define and initiate QC intervention and work scopes.
  • Coordinate with Engineering on dispositions raised.
  • Compile material review books (MRB) and Certificate of Conformity (COC) as and when required.
  • Monitor calibration of equipment and co-ordinate requisitions.
  • Assists the QHSES Manager in routine quality and HSE activities to promote a strong culture across the base.
  • Support and promote continuous improvement initiatives within the service base.
  • Participate in site meetings and advise on quality related matters.
  • Provide support to colleagues to register quality incidents/defects (internal and customer) in the appropriate system.
  • Support the projects and identify and register risks (threats & opportunities) and Management of Change.
  • Perform quality analysis and prepare and present reports as and when required.
  • Conduct and compile project risk assessments.

 

Health, Safety and Environmental

  • Support implementation of TechnipFMC HSE policies within the service base.
  • Promote a quality-driven and safety culture (procedural compliance, defect prevention, right-first-time).
  • Support compliance with UK regulatory requirements.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/FORMAL EDUCATION:

  • Relevant vocational or technical qualifications supported by significant operational quality experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in energy industry (Service) (preferred)
  • Excellent PC skills (Office 365),
  • ERP knowledge e.g., SAP (desired)
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, product specifications

 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATE(S):

  • ISO 9001 auditor (Internal or Lead) (desired)
