Job Purpose

Responsible for providing Document Control service to the Project Team

Main Responsibilities

The Junior Document Controller will be assigned to a Project Team or Department where they will be under the supervision of either a Document Controller or a Senior Document Controller.  They may be mentored by a Senior Document Controller from another team.

A training plan will be implemented and they shall receive the necessary training for them to autonomously carry out the duties of a Junior Document Controller, as listed below.

The duties under supervision will be:

 Assist in the control of all documentation entering and leaving the project, including registering, numbering, filing and distribution, using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), allowing rapid and efficient retrieval of documentation.

  • Production of the Project Master Document Register as and when required by the Project Manager.
  • Under supervision responsible in conjunction with other Project or Department members for the collation, formatting and issue of As-built dossiers.
  • Responsible for the control of the Project Specific E-Mail database, including setting up of folder structures and filing all correspondence electronically.
  • Liaise with external printing company for arrangement of photocopying for mobilisations and As-builts.
  • Liaise with Drawing Office (DO) to ensure DCC receive latest version of all drawings new and revised.
  • Contact with Clients and Subcontractors when necessary.
  • Participate fully in Work Groups to constantly improve the Document Control Function.
  • Archiving of Project Documentation in accordance with the TechnipFMC Archiving Procedure.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable to other tasks including additional hours due to mobilisations deadlines when required by the Document Control Manager and/or Project Manager.
