Geophysical Survey Engineer

Job Purpose
To ensure the relevant engineering disciplines are provided with expedient and accurate geophysical survey outputs in a timely manner to support subsea project design and installation activities. Job would suit a former Party Chief or Offshore Survey Rep looking for a predominantly onshore position.
Job Description
- Be the geophysical survey point of contact in Front End and Integrated Engineering (FE&IE) department.
- Review client geophysical survey reports for completeness and identify any additional requirements.
- Develop geophysical work scopes for both new energy and oil & gas projects (pipelines, cable routes, wind farm array areas)
- Lead on survey tenders and consult with survey contractors during the tendering process.
- Technically assess tender submission
- Oversee survey vessel mobilisation and demobilisation checks and equipment calibrations.
- Act as a point of contact between TFMC and the Contractor PM.
- Oversight and assurance of offshore data collection.
- Oversight and assurance of offshore perimetry
- Provide QA/QC of data and reports received from the survey contractor.
- Promotion of safe survey operations
You are meant for this job if:
Degree in a relevant discipline
Experience in geophysical survey role in the offshore industry
Background & Experience
The successful candidate will typically have fulfilled a role as an offshore Survey Representative or Party Chief. Or have a background in consultancy.
