Job Purpose

Join our dynamic team at TechnipFMC as a Field Service Technician, supporting offshore operations in Altens and beyond. This hands-on role is vital to the successful delivery of drilling, completion, and exploration wellhead services.   This role will support the successful delivery and execution of jobs such as preparation, installation, repair and maintenance of TechnipFMC equipment, under field conditions and in an international offshore environment.  

Job Description

  • Prepare, install, repair, and maintain TechnipFMC equipment in offshore environments.
  • Work on exploration and development wellheads, XTs, and associated offshore tools.
  • Perform technical checks including space outs, equipment status, and pressure tests.
  • Ensure all equipment, tooling, and spare parts are ready and fit for purpose before each job.
  • Complete detailed field service reports, including part numbers, serials, and job issues.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams and client representatives.
  • Report equipment or procedural issues to the Service Coordinator.
  • Manage documentation, inventory, and backup equipment on-site.
  • Promote and practice safe working procedures, attending safety meetings and training.
  • Support the Service Project Manager with daily updates and escalate critical decisions when needed.
  • Uphold company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure successful job execution and customer satisfaction.

You are meant for this job if:

Required Experience:

  • Several years offshore wellhead experience
  • Experience in a similar role in an offshore environment

 

Required Knowledge/Formal Education:

  • HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or time served apprenticeship preferably in a mechanical discipline
  • Strong mechanical background

 

Required Certificate:

  • HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or time served apprenticeship preferably in a mechanical discipline
  • Valid BOSIET / FOET / MIST
  • Valid Offshore Medical
