Job Purpose

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality service support for TechnipFMC equipment, as well as other industry equipment, in both onshore and offshore environments worldwide. Working under the guidance of experienced technicians and supervisors, you will support the preparation, installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment in the field.

This is an entry-level position offering an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise through hands-on experience and structured training. You will execute assigned tasks in accordance with established procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements while building your knowledge of field operations. Regular interaction with supervisors and senior technicians will provide coaching and development as you progress towards becoming a technical subject matter expert within the field service team.

Job Description

  • Installs, tests and repairs new and reworked TechnipFMC products (equipment and tools)
  • Assures all equipment, service tooling and spare parts are on location and ready to use by performing inventories and function-fit tasks prior to beginning each job
  • Records critical information such as dimensions, weights, temperatures, pressures and flow rates; also assists with the review of product testing, running and in some cases with assembly procedures
  • Provides Project Support as required, for all new projects which includes:  assisting with project Factory Acceptance Tests and Systems Integration Testing
  • Prepares and completes safety related documentation. Pursues safe work practices

You are meant for this job if:

  • HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or time served apprenticeship preferably in a mechanical discipline.A formal technical and/or mechanical education (mechanic, hydraulics)
  • Offshore experience would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Knowledge of surface wellheads and surface operations is desired 
  • Ability to read and understand drawings
  • Ability to use technical tools and instruments required to perform duties
  • Knowledge of safety in relation to working with pressurized equipment, exploitation of cranes; gas equipment would be beneficial
