Job Purpose

 

To provide draughting services for the company as directed by the Drawing Office Manager.

Job Description

  • Ensure compliance with Drawing Office drawing control procedures. 
  • Liaise with Project Teams and Engineers as assigned by the Drawing Office Manager. 
  • Check all drawings produced to ensure accuracy and suitability for purpose. 
  • Be available to check drawings, produced by other members of the Drawing Office team, for accuracy and suitability for purpose. 
  • Identify any key draughting issues or problems within their assigned project and inform the Drawing Office Manager or his assistant. 
  • Assist Engineers by providing any relevant experience or information to which you may have access  
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as requested by the Drawing Office Manager. 

 

You are meant for this job if:

  • HNC or ONC in engineering subject (desirable dependent on experience and background)
  • Experience as a Draughtsperson
  • CAD courses to intermediate level 
  • Recognised engineering draughting apprenticeship (or similar experience) 
  • CAD Skills 
  • Autocad Draughting 
  • Communication 
  • Time management 
  • Teamwork
