Job Purpose
As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for providing document control services.
Main Responsibilities
As a Document Controller, your main responsibilities will be:
- Undertaking control of electronic and hard copy documents to ensure they are controlled, updated and distributed utilising various control methods.
- Closing electronic management of change forms and record associated documents when completed.
- Managing service desk, assign and action requests in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
- Providing induction to new starts, familiarisation/refresher on document control procedures and processes.
- Liaising with departments/functions to ensure Document Control Centre have latest revision of documents new and revised.
- Collating and compiling documents for handover to new owner when an asset is sold.
- Archiving documents from various repositories when an asset is disposed of.
- Distributing company notices in a controlled manner and update the distribution list when requested.
- Publishing on behalf of technical/operation teams documents required to be available to the business.
- Searching data.
- Managing projects and asset archives.
- Arranging photocopy and courier services.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities
- Quality check on documents in accordance with Management System. May include formatting such as, correcting templates, fonts and styles, pagination and numbering.
- Assist in development of procedures and processes as required.
- Cover for other Document Control Centre team members during leave of absence. Remain flexible and adaptable to other duties and initiatives when required.
- Able to travel.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office package.
- Good standard of education.
Background and Experience
- Experience in a Document Controller or similar role.
- Understanding of Document Control applications, systems and processes.
- Energy industry experience.
