Job Purpose

As a Dive Systems Support Engineer, your job purpose will be:

 

  • Preparing budget costings and planning schedules for diving system modifications and refits.
  • Working to given budgets and schedules for diving systems modifications and refits.

Job Scope

As a Dive Systems Support Engineer, your job scope will be:

 

  • Play an active part in vessel and plant budgets.
  • Play an active part in SOPEX and CAPEX budgets.

You are meant for this role if you have the below:

 

Qualifications (professional, technical, academic)

Essential:

  • City & Guilds/HNC in mechanical or electrical/electronic discipline (mechanical is preferred). 
  • In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of industry, specifically diving systems working practices.
  • Working and practical knowledge of Company assets.

 

Preferred:

  • Degree qualified in mechanical or electrical/electronic discipline (mechanical is preferred). 
  • Completed Apprenticeship in mechanical discipline. 
  • Previous operational role maintaining/upgrading diving systems.
  • Marine-oriented training. 

 

 

Typical background and experience

Essential - Required for position:

  • A dynamic, self-motivated individual who can work within a team or lead when required.
  • Strong comprehension of English language. 

Required for future development:

  • Willingness to accept responsibility and be held accountable when directed to perform certain duties and be acceptable to developing towards a more senior role.

 

 

QHSES competencies

Required for position:

  • Maintain responsibility and accountability through personal commitment and behaviour.
  • Maintain behaviour in compliance with HSES requirements.
  • Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to their immediate Supervisor such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk.

Required for future development:

  • Reinforce and strengthen the HSES culture at every opportunity in operations and projects
  • Promote correct HSES behaviours through personal example
  • Take action upon any health, safety, security and environmental matter brought to their notice, and report to their Manager on any matter which they are unable to rectify.

Additional Information

Role is based in Aberdeen. Up to 25% travel will be required domestically and/or internationally. Applicants must hold the right to work in UK.
